Happy Preschool Dance!

Okay not really. But I hear the pounding of feet everywhere, as moms get ready for school to start tomorrow, and I am a bit happy as well, but not 100% happy.

You see, Autumn has developed what I like to call the "preschool princess" syndrome. She thinks the world revolves around her, and has no need for manners as well. I don't understand that since I know the school is big on manners and being good, but the exposure to many children who don't hear the word "no" at home on a regular basis, has come to haunt us. I see it in the hallways at pickup and drop off times when little Joe Bob and Sally Sue are having fits and mommy or daddy or even grandmother promises something in return for going to class and not fussing. HELLO out there, there is no reward for school! You go, you either have fun or not, but you don't get rewarded for doing the basic thing that most people do!

That said, Autumn has turned into a bear on wanting things here and now and there is no other answer except yes. It has taken two weeks, and finally today, she has been an angel! And now I send her off again to learn all about the dreaded "me me me" attitude. Sigh.....

The good thing is that if I am consistant at home, she will figure it out.

It's not just the attitude issues either, it's me missing spending time with her and doing whatever we want at random moments. I can say I am looking forward to Spring Break! We are planning a short tour of Texas that week and will be driving to little towns around us to visit. :)
